Wales (Cymru in Welsh) is a mountainous country on the western side of the UK. It is bordered by England to the east, the Bristol Channel to the south, St George's Channel in the west, and the Irish Sea to the north, and for those looking for
holidays in Britain, Wales has so much to offer.
 
This little country is a land of lakes, rivers and coastline, all of which brings fishing to mind as you travel from place to place, river fishing, lake fishing and of course, some of the best sea fishing in UK waters.
 
But if fishing isn't your thing then golf might be and Wales has over 200 golf courses to choose from, being able to offer links, parkland, mountain and championship courses.
 
When you hire your motorhome or campervan to see the country in luxury you may decide to stop off now and then for a mountain walk or a spot of cycling because the countryside here is beautiful beyond belief and at least on a par with anything you will find in the rest of Europe.
 
There are three National Parks in Wales which cover an area of 4122 sq km, all of which represents about 20% of the land area of Wales. Snowdonia was the first to be designated in 1951, closely followed in 1952 by Pembrokeshire Coast and finaly Brecon Beacons in 1957.
 
All in all, when you travel around in your hire vehicle for a week or two, you cannot but help absorb the magic of tiny Wales with it's large expanses of unspoilt countryside and the low population of inhabitants.
