Scotland, the land of mountains, lochs and whisky: just the place to hire a motorhome or campervan and see the country in style and luxury.Scotland is one of those places where you can feel "abroad" because of the vastly different scenery to it's southern neighbour England but where you don't need a passport, and for those who are strangers to these shores, Scotland makes up the northern part of Great Britain and is roughly two-thirds the size of England and Wales combined, both of which occupy the remaining portion.
Scotland is surrounded by sea on three sides, so pack your rod and line when you go there: to the west and north by the Atlantic Ocean and on the east by the North Sea. It's only land border, that with England, runs for nigh on 60 miles or 96 KM along the line of the Cheviot Hills, or Hadrian's Wall as we call it down here.
And if you're looking for something to do in between driving around, then how about a round or two of golf in the country which calls itself "The Home of Golf", where there are more than 550 golf courses up and down the country?
So instead, may we mention the Edinburgh Military Tattoo? The production will once more feature superb international performers with the centrepiece of the evening once again expected to be the spine-tingling sights and sounds of the world famous Massed Pipes and Drums, the finest military display anyone can witness anywhere in the world.
